Not long after we start that new and exciting job, we get bored of doing the same thing over and over. Routine!
The routine at the gym. Researching the same topic. Running the same route every morning. And eating the same meal every day. Of course, there are reasons to get tired and bored of the experiences.
Our ability to manage this boredom and find the grains of excitement within routines is what can keep us going. Accept the fact that boredom is a part of the process. Stick to the routine and seek novelty in other areas of life that don’t jeopardize your boring-routine-preceded goals.
Researching for a new book, seek novelty in new perspectives around the same topic. There, you may find the excitement to keep pressing on.
